In the Garden in August

Despite the recent rain, this month has seen some wonderfully sunny days. As I’ve been posting a photograph a day as part of My August Photo Linky I’ve had my DSLR camera out a lot snapping away. This includes taking many shots in the garden especially close-ups of flowers. I’ve included some of these on Silent Sunday posts or throughout the month but still have plenty to share.

I feel August has been a long month and some of these flowers have come and gone but looking back there has been so much colour and vibrancy in the garden in one month! We have spent some lovely days in the garden but at the same time probably haven’t used it enough because if there are hot days I tend to meet with friends and take toddler to the park, seaside or the paddling pool all of which aren’t too far away. I’ve enjoyed taking more close-ups of pretty flowers this month but the garden could do with a bit of a makeover. There is the main grass area (that I need to cut again) as well as a shed and a few corners that are too messy to photograph! Aren’t these flowers pretty? What is your favourite? What do you have in your garden?

If you have a photo to share come and link up to MyAugustPhoto :)

  1. Your garden pictures are lovely. I've been snapping away in the garden too, earlier in the month, and am sharing those pictures on the blog this week. It will be bittersweet though, as our garden looks very different now as its currently going through a redoing.
