I've recently been reviewing the
lovely Epson EcoTank ET-3600 Colour Printer. It's a great high tech colour
printer, saves you money compared to ink cartridge printers and is capable of
transferring photos and files from your smartphone or tablet via WiFi! As I
work as a freelancer, mostly from home, having a printer is essential. I
have had the same printer for years so thought it would be nice to upgrade and
try something a little different. I try to use my usual home printer
as little as possible to be environmentally friendly and because the ink is
costly. However, according to Epson, the EcoTank ET-3600 Colour Printer cuts
printing costs by 74% on average! This 3-in-1 inkjet printer comes with 2 years’
worth of ink in the box, accounting to an amazing 11,000 pages in black and
white pages or 8,500 in colour! This is equivalent to 50 ink cartridges!
The printer arrived in a big box
complete with the instruction manuals, ink and installation CD. I followed the
set-up instructions on the manual which were very easy to follow. Adding the
ink into the printer was also straightforward and once that was done it was
time to turn the printer on. This part of the installation did take about 20 minutes
to complete, longer than expected. Most of it was waiting for the printer to
configure the ink, something that only needs to be done once at the beginning.
I wasn’t in any rush but thought I should mention this in case anyone is
expecting to use the printer as soon as you get it out of the box.
Once everything was set up on the
printer, I used the CD to install the printer software on my laptop. This was
super quick and once finished I started transferring files via Wifi. All I have
to do is choose any file or photo and print via Wifi, nothing else is needed
and it saves a lot of time fiddling around with cables. The quality of the
print is great and I’m excited that I now have a printer that is so efficient. This
3-in-1 inkjet printer can print double sided and has a scanner for copying.
I like the sleek design of the
printer and it’s a perfect size, compact and not too big! The printer has a 150-sheet
paper capacity, and it’s possible to print in different paper sizes. The Epson
EcoTank ET-3600 Printer currently retails on Amazon for £384. It's more than I would usually pay for a printer but will save a huge amount in ink as it lasts so long. Along with its cost-efficiency
with a two-year duration of ink and its Wifi capabilities the Epson EcoTank
ET-3600 Colour Printer is an ideal choice for any home office.
