I am the Mum who....

I was recently nominated by the lovely Catherine at Mama vs Teacher on the 'I am the Mum who...' post so here is mine.

I am the Mum who...kisses my two year old a trillion times a day. He's got very chubby cheeks so I can't resist!

I am the Mum who... has a pretty relaxed attitude to parenting.

I am the Mum who... loves watching my little boy develop, grow and learn all these amazing things but at the same time misses the baby stage (see photo)!

I am the Mum who... wants to travel with my son and show him the world.

I am the Mum who... usually craves some me-time and really appreciates it but after a few hours ends up missing that cheeky chubby face and can't wait to see him again.

I am the Mum who... probably over-thinks and worries too much about differerent things!

I am the Mum who... is not going to raise my son in one religion but will teach him to appreciate the diversity of all religions and cultures.

I am the Mum who... still can't believe I gave birth!

I am the Mum who...breastfeeds my son at 27 months.

I am the Mum who... wants my little boy to believe in himself and aim for whatever he wants to do in life.

I am the Mum who... gave up my career to be a stay at home mum and has appreciated that time so much but I am now thinking about a return to work.

I am the Mum who... thinks being a two year old is a very fun age!

I am the Mum who... knew the true meaning of unconditional love as soon as I fell pregnant.

I'm going to nominate:

Lauren at Belle du Brighton

Jade at Raising the Rings

Emma at The Joy of Five

Tony at Papa Tont (It's always interesting to hear the Dad's perspective too)

I really enjoyed writing this post. What kind of Mum or Dad are you?

  1. Thank you so much for the nomination. Such a beautiful post and very refreshing to hear you are still breastfeeding. I'm still feeding my youngest and I'm very happy with it although I get a different reception for others!!

  3. I agree with you on the pretty relaxed attitude to parenting - why add extra stress?

  4. I love this post and I think we have a lot in common! I think I'm pretty relaxed (although Zach's only 7 months so we'll see if that changes!), I want to take him travelling, I love a bit of me time but then always want my boy back and I plan to teach him about all religions and cultures too! xx

  5. Oh I love this - what a brilliant tag idea! I'm so similar to you - especially with craving time alone but then desperately missing the babies! Mim x #brilliantblogposts

  6. What a gorgeous post. I want to travel with my kids and show them the world too... unfortunately I'm in Australia so "the world" is so very far away. Might have to wait until they're at an age when long haul flights won't be such a waking nightmare... or someone invents teleportation.

  7. Love your point about raising your kid in all cultures and religion! That's what we're trying to do too. Lovely post. You sound WAY more chilled than me. :) #brilliantblogposts
