Last week we had a beautiful burst of hot weather and sunshine. After a long winter with freezing temperatures and
snow (the first time we’ve in Brighton!) it was a welcome relief and we made the most of it. Thankfully, we’re within walking distance to the
beach so we took advantage of play dates after school and meeting up with friends at the weekend. I also met my friend for our weekly costal walk. In total, I was at the beach five times last week, wow! It was the first time we paddled in the sea this year and although cold it was so refreshing and relaxing under the sun! Coincidentally, it was also low-tide in the afternoons so we had the added benefit of proper sand beneath our feet with a calm sea. What a lovely feeling. I’m sharing some photos of our warm week in the sunshine!

Pip was a little reluctant at first but once he dipped his feet in the water there was no stopping him! He splashed, danced and sang in the water. When the weather is like this who needs to go abroad! It’s back to being cold and overcast now but I can’t wait to it warms up again and of course, the lovely summer months.

DeleteSo many wonderful photos. I'm kind of jealous that you live within walking distance of a beach and managed to visit 5 times in a week! We have a good hours drive to our nearest beach and don't get there nearly as often as I'd like.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I know, we are so lucky. I wouldn't usually visit 5 times in a week but it was such lovely weather and I knew I had to make the most of it. Typically it didn't last long :)
DeleteI'm sure it is lovely living by the sea, but more so when the weather is glorious as it was with the heatwave... It sounds like you made the most of it too, with lots of time spent outdoors & memories made with loved ones. Beautiful photos.
